I go into work as a volunteer every Tuesday (for the whole day) and every Thursday (morning only). I spend half a day in each of the 3 infant classes. Ironic really - as I've ended up returning to the Juniors in January!
As I've said before - I really enjoy it and it gives me the opportunity to keep up-to-date with the staff, pupils, gossip etc.
So, as it's Thursday, I was in school this morning. I had good chats with the Chair of Governors and with The Head. Today's surprise - I am returning to work in January, I will be teaching Year 3, I will be teaching 3 days per week but from Wednesday to Friday - not what I'd expected!! It's not a problem, just a surprise! Actually a Friday is the nicest day of the week in school, particularly close to holiday time and, in truth, an easier day to teach compared to the beginning of the week.
