It's coming along nicely, as prooved twice yesterday (with a little help from my little friends!)
Firstly, Jolly (my older tricolour Cavalier) hasn't been quite right recently, she's had a UTI. Like nearly every Cavalier I know (Fusspot being the exception) she's a gluton for food, but on Wednesday she walked away from her nearly full supper bowl. Other than that she's been fine, but that was enough so I booked a vet's appointment. Last night we went to the vet - Jolly turning circles and barking excitedly, she didn't look ill and I felt a tad foolish. Mentioned my feelings to the lovely receptionist (who knows me and my little friends very well) and she agreed with my opinion! However they discover she still has an UTI, despite the antibiotics, and she now has another course of different antibiotics. So nice to know that I wasn't fussing over nothing and that I spotted the subtle signs - there's hope for me as a Mum yet!
Later that evening I was in a rush to go out, called the girlies in from the garden and Fusspot didn't respond. So I stood on the doorstep and yelled a while, no response - becoming unusual. More unusual still I could hear Fusspot bark, a little investigation (i.e. walking through pitch black garden) and I discovered her trapped in the side garden. OK, not so much my intuition as her intelligence, but I don't think that she'll mind me sharing the glory!
