Wednesday - the builders finally turned up! A big rush as I had to go to work that morning.Thursday - they began to fit the windows.
Friday - the double glazed units arrived.
So far they've installed 5 frames and 3 glazed units. The windows that are complete are drafty as they need sealing around the edges of the frames (that's why the curtains are still closed). Lots more frames are still in the garage.
Besides the building work, the dish washer died on Tuesday - the engineer came yesterday but declared it to be a 'long job' and he wanted to get back for the rugby, so he turned up (over an hour after the given slot), looked, pondered, looked some more and then went away. He's due back again tomorrow.
Yesterday I also needed a new tyre on 3B (my car). Today I've got a warning message about coolant telling me to stop the engine or damage may occur.
Next time please can I have a plain and simple life? Please!
