Social worker and her manager have just visited - to do a 'Review' that will go to Panel - all applicants have to be reviewed within 2 years of passing Panel if they haven't been matched. They have said that CRB and medicals are valid for 3 years, but we will begin renewing them if there's no news by July 2007.
They will write a short update and put it to Panel - they are going to increase the requested age range to up to 24 months for a girl or BOY!
We also talked about post adoption process, the next application and how the process has changed.
I also learnt that the Panel meeting I attended is notorious. Not the Panel members - just that particular meeting - every applicant cried, if that wasn't bad enough there was an Inspector there to assess the process! They still talk about the crying panel!!
It was a relaxed chat around the kitchen table and put yesterday's referral news into a better perspective.
