On Wednesday we went east to see my gorgeous god-daughter P for her 3rd birthday party - it was also an opportunity for J to meet her future god-daughter Alice! P's birthday's have always seemed like milestones as J announced she was pregnant just as I started on the adoption path - I would have found this party very difficult this year if Alice hadn't have finally been with me. J's fellow mother-friends were very welcoming and delighted to meet Alice. They had lots of questions and wanted to know all about her, everyone agreed with how lucky I am!J was (understandably) very busy but made time for a cuddle, so did her mum (another J). It was lovely to see them with Alice.
P had a trampoline for her birthday (hence the photos), but I didn't get my camera out until the end of the party, by which time she was extremely tired and didn't want her photo taken (know the feeling)!
We don't get to see enough of each other, I'm going to resolve to do better now Alice is home!
