I've just scrolled through the last few posts with photos of Alice and am amused to notice how many times the dogs are in the background.
Alice was terrified when she first saw the dogs, for a minute or two, within five minutes she was reaching for them. For a week or two she open handed slapped them (just making contact, nothing malicious). Now they've settled into a more relaxed relationship, Alice smiles when she comes close and the dogs will now be close to her to get to me. At the moment she isn't grabbing hand fulls of hair and they're not pinching too many toys!
People are amazed when I say I have 4 dogs at home as well as a baby. When people come into the house the dogs get up to greet them, but 5 minutes later they tend to be asleep around the edge of the room where we are. They really aren't that loud (except when they're inflating hot-air balloons close-by) and they're great companions. Wouldn't be without any of them and Alice's is pretty great too ;-)

Babies and dogs are my favourite combination! Evie was terrified of my two at first but quickly decided that dogs are some of her favourite things.
