When I first met Alice she would hold her own bottle, gently over the first few days I took over holding the bottle - to help her with learning that Mummy provides and takes care. But now I've decided that since attachment is beginning, that it's more age appropriate for Alice to have some independence - she's already feeding herself finger foods and so this evening I reminded how to hold the bottle again. She co-operated on holding the bottle, but was less co-operative about having her photo taken!!Yes - it would be even more age-appropriate if she drank from a sippy cup, but she's extremely reluctant to do so and while she's got a chest infection (yes, again!) I think it's more important that she's drinking as much fluid as possible.
