Yesterday C (my aqua buddy and craft guru) and I got up hideously early to go to the NEC for the Good Food Show.
Lots of foody bits, booze, a few gadgets, nibbles and few well known chefs. We'd booked to see James Martin - he was FAB! The man should be a stand-up comedian, he was irreverant, sarcastic, broke all the hygienne rules (with glee) and did some good cooking too. C had hardly heard of him a month ago - before the end of the show she was talking about booking now for next year!!
Also watched Phil Vickery (Fern's husband) prepare a 3 course meal - he was very knowledgable but a little disappointing after the flamboyance of Mr Martin.
I even managed to buy a few Christmas presents - bought more for me than for other people, what a surprise!
