I've been reading my DTC group (DTC- dossier to China, all our papers went to China in the same month or so).
I'm 5 weeks from the front of the queue, some of the DTC group are within the first 2 weeks of the queue and will very likely receive referrals in this next batch, WOW. I know that it's daft but I really hadn't realised that until today! The DTC group is a very supportive and friendly bunch who automatically understand many of the emotions that the adoption roller coaster takes me through. I can't believe that some of them are very soon to be parents.
(I was obviously having a thinking moment!) At the same time I realised that this is probably (depending on how far they get) the final batch that I can stand back and watch without being involved - next time there may well be a chance that I'll be on the cusp.
The RQ's been number crunching again - there are 3 large days in the week before my date, that means that I will be less sure that I will be included (when the CCAA finally gets that far).
In the meantime I'm off for some retail distraction - to research cots, changing tables and car seats!
