MORE PUSHCHAIR CHOICES AND MORE CONFUSION

I'm trying to get organised and work out what baby bits I want - so that I can order them when her referral arrives.

So C and I went cot shopping - I was fancying the Stokke Sleepi, I now want a drop sided cot bed in white - not an easy combination to find. Mothercare stock them but don't have them on display whereas John Lewis don't even have such a thing!

Whilst we were out we went to Mamas and Papas - to look at cots, nothing suitable there. Then I made a fatal mistake and asked about pushchairs. M and P do now do a pushchair that the handlebar flips over to make it rear facing, the Skoot.

C was very impressed with it, I'm not as sure.

The plus points:
  • extremely easy to collapse and put up - one handed,
  • seat faces both ways, simply
  • seat reclines
  • large shopping basket
  • fairly small when collapsed and light enough to lift
The negatives:
  • the chassy (sp?) is white and plasticy,
  • the fabric colours are hideous - this dark neutral or a darker colour, both plain
  • the harness is only attached at the sides - so the child can sit forward, so the straps are long and may tangle easily?
  • when the seat is rear facing the small, maneuverable wheels are at the rear.
One step forward and two back - I'm more confused than ever!
