I've spoken to M and C (the other UK APs expecting a referral in this batch), we had a lovely chat and I feel a lot better knowing that we share many of the same feelings and attitudes. There's a good chance that we will receive referrals from the same province and maybe even the same SWI (Social Welfare Institution, i.e. orphanage) - our children may have known each other longer than their parents (us) will have known them - there's also a good chance that we will receive referrals from totally different parts of China!
C and I are still both talking about'if' and 'maybe' and neither of us can believe that this might actually be happening! We've talked about travel schedules, guides in China and allsorts of other things - and we seem to agree on the important stuff (and most of the less important bits too!) It was lovely to talk to C and know we both understood what the other was feeling, a great reassurance - even better to know we're hoping for SWI 'siblings'. They only live about 75 - 90 minutes away so if our children know each other already it's good to know that we can maintain that link in the future.
Still shaky but smiling. K x
