With my referral taking longer and longer to arrive I've decided that I need to take a holiday before going to China.Ever since I was 2, my family have holidayed in Jersey at Hotel L'Horizon, right on the beach. We've been there regularly through my life, annually (just about, through my childhood) and probably bi-annually ever since. I love it, it's instant holiday, totally familiar and comfortable. I've went back in 2005 - my first visit without Mum, it was tough but OK in the end. By 2005 I was anticipating the adoption. I love this hotel - the location, the pool (where I learnt to swim with my Grandad waving £1 and then £5 notes from the other side of the pool - in the late 1970s that was ALOT!), the food, the views and the rooms. But I don't want to return without my daughter - it was hard being there on my own.
I want to go away at the end of May / early June. UK or Europe. To a luxury hotel, with a good swimming pool, great food and nice location (probably beach) but more than anything else I want to go to one that someone's recommended - so over to you!

I tell you what, I have put my life on hold so much waiting for my referral (and you are way ahead of me) I decided awhile back to go ahead and live my life while waiting.
Go, book your vacation and enjoy yourself. I am a big fan of cruises, have you checked those out?
How about the marriot in london, i have stayed in the one near the marble Arch it served a very nice breakfast , you could take in a show.
If its a beach holiday i could highly recommend the cayo cocos in Cuba but thats not europe obviously.

Hmm..luxury with sun. End of May. Not great time for guaranteed sun unless you hit spain or portugal. Why not be adventurous and try morocco? I have absolutely NO recommendations..its on my hit list of places I want but have never been.
Or you could opt for S. France...but weather could be iffey..
Do you mind cold? I've piles of books and could look! Let me know
