This system is one solution to the problem of travelling and sterilising bottles.The bottle takes a disposable inner - either a pre-shaped liner or a bag. On top of the liner / bag goes the ring that secures the nipple to the bottle. Only the ring and the nipple need cleaning - Playtex advise only to sterilise once a week! They also make both latex and silicone nipples - including ones for thickened formula!
Sounds simple enough to me for our time in China!
