(I'm a qualified Cordon-Bleu cook) to my slight shame, Alice is eating jarred food, not home-made!
She turned her nose up at home made bolognaise, I'm not stressing about it as I think it's more important to get home and settled with good nutrition. But tonight we had a part break-through - home assembled supper, pasta and jarred sauce, eaten warm!! She takes the jars and formula at room temperature and even straight from the fridge.
She also tried and adored nectarines today, very messy - bound to be popular!

That's great about her appetite! I use lots of Annabel Karmel's books about cooking for children. Love the recipes! Alice has a similar response as "A" did to much of the home-cooking, but she's gradually come around. I think that the baby food jars are better tasting to babies (we used Hipp brand a lot) at the early stages - much more bland. I think my cooking tends to be too seasoned for young tastebuds, probably too much at times for little palettes. Congrats on the bolognese! Alice will probably be another pasta lover! Which would be great because it's so easy to fix! Ellen xx
Hi Kate, so good to hear all your news...Alice is wonderful!!!!
I gave all mine a mixture of jar and home food, and in the end as long as it works for you my girl that is all that matters.
