LAST MINUTE CHANGE OF PLANS

. . . lead to a quiet day at home and a break-through.

After yesterday's adventures, Alice needed a long lunchtime snooze (it's too long to be called a 'nap'). She was really tired, so she had an early, quick lunch and then I took her to bed - less than an hour later the gardeners arrived. (I was going to ask them last time not to come in the middle of the day as they woke her up, but they went so quickly that I missed them!)

A long lunchtime snooze is about two and a half hours, Alice slept for three hours today!! We were due to go out with D and A this afternoon, but A slept too long so D cancelled - Alice would have had a much shorter nap, so it worked out well in the end.

And the break-through? Alice slept so long that I had time to make the veggie stew that I've been buying veggies for for the last few weeks. It was jam packed with goodness - tomatoes, onions, beans, courgettes and sweet potatoes. I saved a portion for my supper and blitzed the rest. Alice had some tonight with pasta (clean bowl in record time!) and 8 more jars will go in the freezer. RESULT!!
