Kate, sounds like you've had some good reassurance, and I'd agree with it all.
The only thing I'll add is that I personally think it's not a big deal ... Alice has a great appetite on a regular basis. She's most likely just exercising some freedom of opinion now and again.
Some good advice I've been given by parents is not to make food incidents too dramatic so that they don't ultimately turn into a 'real' issue.

...as in everything toddlerish...JUST when it starts to drive you maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad, it's over with and they are onto their next little adventure (in driving mama maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!)
Whatever it is, this too shall pass. Some days, it's my mantra!
