NURSERY AND SO ON

Alice started to cry on the doorstep. I kept up my sing-song jolly voice and kept reminding her about the sticker if she didn't cry. She was OK on the journey and the way into nursery, she began to lose it when we got into her room so I made a swift exit and they found the sticker! She was fine all day and delighted to see me this evening.

I spent the day asleep on the sofa - my tummy's still bad and I've warned school that I might not be in tomorrow. I meant to get my letter to Thailand finished today, it will have to wait until Sunday at the earliest now, oh well.

Hi Kate:

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

Sorry to hear you are not well, and I hope that by tomorrow you are feeling much better.

Alice did better than Cowgirl today at nursery. She had her booster jabs for MMR etc. yesterday afternoon, and was a bit 'off' as anticipated. Clung to me so hard this morning and just screamed to come home --- I was sure she was going to tear my clothes she was so tightly clenched to me. I knew something was up ... So...we did an about face back home. It's really unlike her to be that adamant about not wanting to stay. I think she was probably a bit unwell even though she didn't have a fever ... those jabs can sometimes make them a little poorly for a day or so.

So no nursery today ... a day of plans lost ... but it was the best thing for us to do.

Feel better soon,
Ellen xxx
