After 1 visit upstairs last night Alice managed to sleep til this morning. We both woke up naturally, hurrah!
We woke early enough for her to have a bath. There was a large spider in the bath, I washed it down the plughole as I couldn't find the spider vac. 5 minutes later in a trembly, terrified voice, Alice shouted, 'Spider!' It had crawled back up the overflow, it was too big for me to remove so I took Alice out of the bath. 5 minutes later and I found it drowned. Alice has been muttering about the spider ever since, I hope it hasn't put her off baths too much.
